The Congresbury Arms Hotel is less than 10 minutes from the M5 and Bristol Airport, making it a perfect pitstop for those on their travels who need a refreshment and bite to eat.
For lunch there is a great two course set menu. Your starter could include French onion soup with cheddar croutons, St Austell's Bay mussels with tomato and chilli and garlic bruschetta, or crispy chilli beef with Asian slaw, cashews and crispy rice noodles. For your main, enjoy some fresh tagliatelle with wild mushrooms and parmesan, cider battered fish with triple cooked chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce, or a butternut squash, spinach and onion bhaji burger served with chutney, tomato, lettuce, fries and a poppadom. If you want to upgrade to a third course, you won't want to miss the desserts - choose from sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream ice cream, a little chocolate pot with langues du chat, and eccles cake served with Gorwydd Caerphilly cheese.
Come dinnertime, you will be truly spoilt for choice. Starters include a charcuterie board with salami, prosciutto, chorizo, Caerphilly cheese, olives, bread and oils, a roasted tomato and red pepper soup, and a delicious dish of salt and pepper squid, chicken wings, kimchi and Korean BBQ sauce. Mains range from Local Hodder’s ham, brace of eggs, pineapple chutney, dressed leaf salad and chips and BBQ half roast chicken, garlic butter sweetcorn, parmesan and rosemary fries, BBQ beans and chicken gravy, to a roast Mediterranean vegetable salad, baked halloumi, black bean and tomato salsa and tortilla basket, and a refreshing summer green gnocchi, rocket, pea shoot and lemon gremolata.
