Built in the early years of the 18th century, Burgh House is not only home to the Hampstead Museum, but also ticks along as an art gallery & classical concert venue. Visitors can now get some sustenance too – thanks to the recently revamped Buttery Café. Touted as the only ‘licensed garden café’ in the neighbourhood, it makes a lovely spot for a daytime snack, whether you are sitting outside amid the greenery or in the warm comfortable interior. Come for coffee & cakes, casual lunches based on seasonal ingredients, afternoon tea, weekend brunch or even a traditional Sunday roast. Also handy for close-of-play chill-outs at the end of the working week.
