Geek Show-off; Beheaded; Scum of Toytown; Human Disease: if your gothic black heart beats to grunge, garage-band guitars, ‘stoner rock’ and Finnish heavy metal sounds rather than X-Factor pap, this artfully dishevelled post-punk music lounge is spot-on for a bit of a mosh, nice nosh and a hand-pulled pukka pint. Friendly staff dispense a selection of draughts (including Camden brews, obviously) from a battery of spouts; alternatively, investigate bottled beers with appropriate rock and roll labels: Rogue Dead Guy, Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp, Ska Working Class – the latter a sweet, creamy milk stout from Colorado. Otherwise, bourbons, cocktails and easy-drinking wines keep the twenty-something leather jackets satisfied. On the food front, expect pizzas, but also look out for regular pop-ups such as Kimchi Cult or Baba Gupta’s spicy bhangra burgers, karma korma and wraps with mango slaw.
