The Barley Mow, Englefield Green is a light and airy welcoming pub conveniently positioned close to the Royal town of Windsor. This family-friendly pub is open daily, serving a seasonal a la carte menu, and Sunday lunch. There is a large bar area with stools, alongside plenty of tables and chairs and a cosy wood burning stove. There is also an inviting outdoor terrace which is largely covered over and dotted with pretty wicker seating, patio heaters and festoon lighting.
The seasonal menu features a range of British and French inspired dishes including starters such as chicken liver parfait served with onion marmalade and toasted brioche, and a pot of creamy baked mountain cheese served with truffle honey and breads to dip.
Main courses sound just as tempting with dishes such as smoked outdoor reared pork belly served with crispy crackling and roasted apple, and a grilled Loch Fyne salmon fillet served with tomato hollandaise and fries. You will also find vegetarian options on the menu such as jackfruit fritters served with papaya salad, and a vegetarian Moroccan mezze platter.
Desserts include lots of popular favourites such as sticky toffee pudding and poached rhubarb crumble. You will also find a selection of British and French cheeses, fresh coffee, and a trio of truffles. If you’re looking for a post-dinner cocktail, there is a large drinks menu which also features plenty of good quality wines, beers and spirits.
Families are welcome at The Barley Mow, there is a good children’s menu which covers all the favourites such as penne pasta served with homemade pesto, plus a junior menu serving smaller portions from the main menu.
