The Bank Bar is an independent, family run restaurant that has had its doors open in the Blackpool town centre since 2018. The Bank's bar and grill offers a menu that features locally sourced meals and plenty of delicious drinks, all served in a modern, relaxed environment. The restaurant is open from midday until late, from Wednesday through to Sunday, but is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
The brunch menu is served until 4pm, and begins with a classic English breakfast. There are also dishes that give twists on favourites, like the fish finger sandwich with fresh cod strips lightly floured and dipped in the restaurant's own beer batter, served on your choice of lightly toasted bread or brioche and with shredded iceberg lettuce, a lemon wedge and a side of homemade tartar sauce. Light bites include the king prawns wrapped in filo pastry and fried, which are lightly seasoned with pink Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper, and the chicken, bacon and avocado salad is a great choice for a lighter lunch.
The main menu begins with starters of breaded fresh mushrooms that are twice coated in seasoned bread crumbs, deep fried and served with a mixed leaf garnish and garlic mayonnaise, along with a half rack of ribs that are slow roasted and served in one of the restaurant's homemade glazes. Mains include lots of the classics, like the hunters chicken, a juicy lamb shank, chicken stroganoff, and deliciously fresh sea bass.
Finish off your meal with a banoffee pie with a buttery biscuit base, a classic pudding of chocolate fudge cake, strawberry panna cotta or Nutella cheesecake, or a light and fluffy lemon meringue.
