The Taste of Nawab was established in 1996. On establishment, we were dubbed as “a new indian restaurant sure to fail”, however we took this challenge in our stride and proved than by ensuring we provide quality food and impeccable service we would become a success.
We also recognised the importance of giving back to the community and supporting as many charities as possible and over the years have participated in many charitable events. These have included: Fund raising for Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust, Save the Children (for this cause Abdul was personally congratulated by the president of Save the Children, HRH Princess Anne, at a function for achieving the highest donation raised by any Indian Restaurant). In addition, we joined the scheme of National Curry Day (Prince’s Trust). Our most successful charitable event was organising a charity night for the Breast Cancer campaign, Rett Syndrome and supporting the local schools.
