La Paella Tapas Bar is a family run business that was founded by Miguel senior and his wife, Danka, back in 1995, and is nearly 30 years old. Here, you can enjoy a huge selection of tapas from the bar, along with a restaurant that serves delicious Spanish cuisine, that pair beautifully with a variety of fine wines and spirits. In 2006, Miguel junior took over the day to day running of the restaurant, and has given the restaurant a bit of a spruce up. The restaurant's ethos is to create a feeling that has been inspired by Spain's many traditional tapas bars and deliver some authenticity to North London. It doesn’t matter whether you're searching for somewhere to enjoy a romantic date night, or a spot to woo colleagues, La Paella Tapas Bar & Restaurant is a very popular choice.
The tapas menu has a range of delicious dishes to choose from. Pair the anchovy fillets in garlic and olive oil with fresh fish cakes and octopus in paprika with sea salt and olive, or the white beans and meatballs in a Spanish sauce with cured Spanish iberian ham and lentils cooked with chicken and chorizo. Some of the vegetarian tapas selections include Spanish green olives, garlic mushrooms, fried courgettes in batter with honey, padron peppers, artichoke hearts with a sherry vinaigrette and sauteed spinach with almonds.
Some of the main courses include the baked hake with artichokes, prawns and white wine sauce, along with stewed chorizo with chicken and pork served with a rice salad. Of course, there are plenty of paellas to choose from, including chicken, sausage, seafood, vegetable, squid ink and more.
