Pop by Bluewater’s Tapas Revolution and get a taste of traditional Spanish dishes while sipping on Sangria in this shopping centre outpost of the chain. As per usual, you’ll find vibrant colourful décor with red and yellow accents that liven up the open-plan restaurant, and a centre island bar that shows off the Tapas Revolution branding while being an eye-catching feature.
Tapas Revolution Bluewater is open every day for lunch and dinner from 11am, where you can tuck into your favourite Spanish dishes, all carefully curated by founder, Omar Allibhoy and made following home-grown recipes straight from Spain to maintain authenticity. For drinks, sip on the spicy tequila-based Ginger and Chilli Cobbler cocktail or a glass of fruity vino blanco with the sweet and light Colegiata Malvasia from Toro.
For a starter, break bread with friends over a small serving of pan con tomate: toasted bread topped with garlic, olive oil and tomato. Tapas can be enjoyed as a main meal when ordered together or shared amongst a group of friends. Munch on your choice of tapas including crispy chicken wings with a honey and lemon dressing or the calamares fritos a la andaluza: strips of squid tossed in flour, fried and plated with aioli and lemon.
If you’re looking to try something traditional for dessert, try the queso manchego y membrillo, a unique dish of Castilian ewe’s milk cheese served with quince jelly. If that’s not for ewe, taste the Spanish version of affogato with fresh strawberries, vanilla bean ice-cream and a shot of sweet sherry.
Tapas Revolution Bluewater is child-friendly, offering a kids’ meal with two tapas and mini churros for pudding. The main menu also has a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options for those with specific dietary needs. Students who tag along can take advantage of 50% off their meal every Monday and Tuesday. Every Sunday to Friday, join in on the festivities with half-price Sangria jugs and 2-4-1 cocktails and Larios G&Ts during ‘Happy Hora’.
