Hidden away in a former bonded warehouse on a cobbled street behind The Shore, this Spanish tapas joint creates an authentic vibe with its mix of high-vaulted walls, pillars, tiled floors, huge bullfighting posters and mirrors. The kitchen gets most of its artisan produce from a reputable Spanish importer and it shows in a fine selection of regional cheeses, hams and charcuterie. You can also sample everything from bombones de valdéon, crispy croquettes of Spanish blue cheese served with a caramelised pear compote, to lightly battered hake with fresh peas and garlic salsa or the best-selling aubergine crisps drizzled with honey. Also check out the perrito caliente con txistorra (a Basque hot dog with creamy mustard sauce) or one of the several dishes centred around delicious Iberian pork before rounding off with chocolate churros, Santiago tart or a chocolate mousse infused with Seville orange.
