London Fields’ latest bar/café/gallery/social hub (origami classes, anyone?) is from the crew behind The Book Club and The Queen of Hoxton – venues synonymous with the sort of laid-back boho types you’ll find here. Brunch is served from 10am until mid-afternoon, while bar food includes the likes of wild-mushroom and mozzarella arancini, pigs in blankets, squid and prawns piri-piri, or beef and chorizo burgers with peppers – all served in a post-modern space that feels like the canteen-style chill-out zone at some achingly cool East End branding agency. Bounce ideas around over pints of draught London Fields ale, wine from £4 a glass or various story-themed cocktails such as ‘shaggy dog’ and ‘likely’: otherwise take a punt on ‘sob adventure’ (rum, orgeat, apple juice and lime) or ‘cock ‘n’ bull’ (Four Roses bourbon, lemon juice, Cointreau and lemonade).
