A shrine to juniper, Peters & Co. pops up three nights a week at F.Cooke’s pie and mash shop – a 30s-style Cockney institution on Hackney’s perma-popular Broadway Market. Urban gin junkies can
rejoice at the sight of Hendricks, Chase, Berkeley Square, Plymouth, Sacred and Sipsmith among a range of around 30 brands that also includes lesser known beasts such as Colonel Fox, monkey 47 (an
unusual Black Forest tipple featuring cranberries among its 47 botanicals) and death’s door (a Wisconsin hit that’s big on coriander and fennel). Cocktails include the Phil Collins (Portobello Road
gin, Wray & Nephew rum, lime and velvet falernum), aviation, bramble, negroni and gin fizz. You’ll also find wines from Chapel Down and Nyetimber, London craft beers, juniper-cured smoked
salmon, charcuterie and cheese, puds and even gin masterclasses. Check Facebook for opening times.
