When you hear the name St Paul's, despite there being many churches with the same name, you probably think of the cathedral in London, and you'd be right to do so. St Paul's Cathedral serves as Anglican Episcopal See in London, and so, has played host to many major events throughout time, including the funerals of Lord Nelson and Winston Churchill, and even the marriage of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer. St Paul's is in fact larger than the famous Westminster Abbey, and can seat an impressive 3500 guests. If you find yourself in central London, St Paul's Cathedral is well worth a visit as one of London's most famous landmarks, with its beautiful dome having dominated the city skyline for over 300 years. The Cathedral was rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren in the late 17th century after the Great Fire of London destroyed its previous Gothic cathedral.
