The Square Grill is a fine restaurant where comfort meets sophistication. Inside, the stunning chandeliers and 3D floral wallpaper add a touch of glamour, whilst gorgeous live music is played on the famous white piano, backed by some of the best locals in Bath. Steeped in Bath's illustrious history and lively culture, The Square Grill is next door to the magnificent Bath Abbey. The dishes here are a little more adventurous than the original, taking each of the guests on a journey of flavours, with a special love of Italian specialties and mouth watering steaks.
Breakfast is served between 9 and 11.45am every day of the week, and begins with a full English complete with baked beans, a hash brown, fried egg, bacon, plum tomato, portobello mushroom, sausages and bread. If you like things a little more different than usual, try the smoked salmon carpaccio with artichoke and dill dressing, lilliput capers, watercress, black onion seeds and lemon bread. Sweet treat lovers will enjoy the pancake stack topped with Nutella or chantilly cream and fresh berries. Whilst the coconut yoghurt comes topped with chia seeds, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, pomegranate, maple syrup and micro cress.
On the all day menu, try the falafel bonbons with pickled red onion and hummus or the slow cooked pork cheeks with creamy mash and red wine jus to start. If you're looking for a lighter lunch, order the brie cheese salad with rocket, apple, beetroot, toasted almonds and honey mustard dressing, or for a heartier appetite, try the confit duck leg with carrot puree, cherry gel and glazed parsnips. For the finale, try the caramelised lemon tart in shortcrust pastry with meringue and tangy raspberry sorbet.
