Spinningfields is an area of Manchester famed for its boujee bars and restaurants. It’s home to plenty of office workers – often dubbed the ‘Canary Wharf of the North’ - making it a very popular spot for after work drinks. On the weekends, visitors flood into Spinningfields’ bars and restaurants, including the Spinningfields Slug & Lettuce site.
Slug & Lettuce is a cult bar and restaurant favourite across the UK, and if you’re partial to a bottomless brunch, night out on the town, or an impressive porn star martini tree, then you’ve probably been to your local at some point.
The Spinningfields one is light, bright, and has both indoor and outdoor seating – the outdoor is a terrace, which overlooks the River Irwell, ideal for day-drinking on sunny days.
If you’re popping by for drinks, there’s a vast menu with something for every craving (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) you could possibly imagine. Good to know: Slug & Lettuce does two for one cocktails all day every day, so it’s always worth popping by, even if just for the basically free drink… There are also plenty of other drinks deals on, including £12 for selected bottles of wine on ‘Wine-Down Wednesdays’.
If it’s food you’re after – instead of, or alongside, drinks – there's also an impressively wide selection, and you’ll find breakfast, lunch, and dinner up for grabs. There are plenty of small plates and sharing platters, ideal for ordering a few between friends and tucking in alongside your two for one drinks. If you’re not a fan of sharing, you can also opt for your own plate, from a range of burgers, wraps, and dishes like classic fish and chips, or mac and cheese.
You’ll also be pleased to know that Slug and Lettuce Spinningfields also offers up the brand’s famous bottomless brunch. It’s £30 per person for two hours of food and fun cocktails.
