The Rose & Crown is a friendly local pub in Zouch, just north of Loughborough, serving an affordable all-day menu, local beers and warm and friendly service. Located on the banks of the River Soar, this neighbourhood spot boasts pretty views of the water and offers a decent-sized beer garden for guests to soak up its waterside location. This alfresco area can seat up to 80 diners overlooking the waterway, making it a popular spot during the summer months.
Inside, the main dining area is everything you’d accept from a quintessentially British pub, with a bar standing in the centre of the space, as well as a few period features throughout such as two open fireplaces, wooden beams and exposed brickwork. It’s become a popular pub go-to in the local area thanks to its rustic charm.
The Rose & Crown Inn serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is only served on Saturdays and Sundays, when you can expect to tuck in to a traditional full English. Its mains menu includes a range of classic British staples and spans starters, mains, burgers, specials, as well as sandwiches and baguettes for lunch. Examples of starters might include soup of the day or a prawn cocktail, while mains feature a homemade steak and stilton pie, gammon and chips, steak, scampi and a roast dinner.
The pub also runs weekly themed evenings, such as curry, steak or Italian-themed nights. To drink, there are a number of cask ales and draught beers to choose from, as well as wines and spirits.
You can find the pub located midway between Kegworth and Loughborough, just off the A6006.
