Riva Bar and Restaurant is situated in the heart of Hale, Cheshire, serving a menu of quality British inspired dishes from their relaxed and inviting restaurant. There is a brunch menu, plus lunch, Sunday lunch and dinner. You can also visit Riva Bar for cocktails and bar snacks.
The venue is light bright and contemporary, with decorative wallpaper and lighting, tiles and furnishings. There is also a small area for outdoor dining, and an open bar area.
Perhaps you may wish to kick things off with some hummus and flatbreads, or a bar snack board to share which includes halloumi fries, chicken, hummus, chipolatas and olives. There is also a seafood sharing board which comes with pan seared scallops, garlic chilli prawns, smoked salmon and crab.
There are also plenty of other starters on the menu including soup of the day and mussels in cider.
Main courses sound equally as tempting with dishes such as the 6oz fillet steak served with tomato jam, green beans peppercorn sauce and fries, and the rolled pork belly served with dauphinoise potatoes and a roast apple gel. Other classics include pie of the week, beer battered haddock and the Riva burger served with coleslaw and fries.
If you're looking for meat-free dishes there is also a beetroot wellington served with truffle mash, pumpkin seeds and gravy.
Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the large dessert menu which includes dishes such as chocolate brownie, Riva baked Alaska, and banoffee pie. There is also an Artisan cheeseboard.
There is also a daily specials board, and a good selection of gluten free dishes on the menu. Riva bar often holds live music events, and has most recently opened an upstairs dining room area which is available to hire.
