After their success with Rasoi Indian Kitchen, brother duo Jas and Suki Kullar decided to open the beautiful Rasoi Waterfront in 2015, in the very popular and trendy SA1 area. The pair wanted to bring authentic Indian to Swansea, but put their own twist on it. Jas and Suki used old family recipes that had passed through the test of time, handed down through generations, and put a modern twist on things. The pair had fond memories of their summers in Punjab during their childhood, and taking in the flavours, smells and colourful atmosphere. Rated one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, Rasoi Waterfront is the perfect place to visit if you're looking for something traditional, but with a modern vision.
“Rasoi’ means kitchen, and the number one priority was creating a welcoming, cosy environment to welcome guests from all backgrounds and walks of life,” say the brothers. So, it’s no surprise that the menu is every bit as stylish as it is delicious.
In the evening, guests can enjoy a two or three course set menu from Sunday through to Thursday, which includes plenty of the restaurant's most loved dishes. For your small plates, choose from the chilli Indo-Chinese chicken tossed with bell peppers and spring onion, Britain's most loved Indian starter of the onion bhajis, and crunchy Punjabi samosas served with channa masala and topped with chutneys, buija and pomegranate. For your main, enjoy the popular curries of korma, tikka masala and jalfrezi, or something a bit more different like the Rasoi favourite of slow cooked desi lamb. The murgh malai methi is chicken cooked with fenugreek and mixed spices, something creamy and flavourful, in a contrast to the spicy mussels cooked with chilli and garlic in a creamy and spicy coconut sauce.
