Back in 2011, as teenagers, brothers Jas and Suki Kullar took a bold step by opening Rasoi Indian Kitchen in Pontlliw, repurposing an old pub. Their vision was clear from the start — to offer Swansea a distinctive Indian experience, blending authentic yet contemporary Indian cuisine with a twist.
Inspired by cherished family recipes passed down through generations, the brothers infused a modern palate and innovative flavours. Drawing on their vivid memories of summers in Punjab, they sought to recreate the vibrant atmosphere of street markets, infusing their restaurant with the same lively energy. Rasoi has since evolved into an award winning Indian fusion restaurant, a beloved spot on the edge of the Gower Peninsula. The establishment, meaning ‘kitchen’ in Hindi, prioritises a warm, inviting ambiance to welcome guests from all backgrounds. Handpicking expert chefs globally, each contributed to shaping the menu.
The restaurant's Garden Room hosts events for up to 200 guests, adding to the charm of Rasoi Indian Kitchen. With numerous accolades underneath their belt, the Kullar brothers have left a permanent mark on Indian cuisine in the UK. Their belief that food should be fun and inventive continues to drive innovation and evolution, evident in their ongoing commitment to pushing culinary boundaries.
Indulge in starters like smoky tandoori chicken wings and lamb and cheese filled samosas accompanied by mint chutney. Rasoi promises a culinary journey through Indian spices and aromas, every single time.
