In the bustling heart of London's iconic Fulham Road, home of Chelsea FC, lies PerBacco, an Italian restaurant that is a little different from the ordinary. If you are a lover of Italian food, you’ll find that PerBacco is the gateway to the rich tapestry of traditional northern Italian cuisine. PerBacco derives its name from two intriguing sources. In English, "PerBacco" means "my gosh", and pays homage to Bacco, the Roman God presiding over agriculture and wine, "for Bacco." Inside, you’ll find exposed brickwork, round tables with jewel toned glasses and modern seating. This cosy setting gives the restaurant a really inviting atmosphere.
PerBacco really cares about the ingredients that they use, and makes use of each season's ingredients. The menu changes very often, so you can always expect to find something new to delight you when you return. The pasta is handmade daily, on the spot after you place your order. Can you get better than that?
There are a selection of small plates and starters to enjoy and kick off your time at PerBacco. Choose from the likes of buckwheat polenta with taleggio cheese and roasted garlic butter, or what about Cantabrian anchovies with tomato concasse on grilled bruschetta. We particularly like the sound of the 30-months- aged Parma ham with gnocco fritto, pear and gin jam.
But, the pasta dishes are where this restaurant really shines. Choose from the luxurious lasagna with three-meat ragu, oozing with béchamel sauce and parmigiano reggiano, alongside the pappardelle with spicy nduja, tomatoes concasse, mascarpone and burrata cheese. We also need a minute for the ravioli pockets, filled with pumpkin delica, butter, sage and parmesan cheese. For dessert, fresh pastries like the Zabaione mille-feuille are hard to resist, filled with delicate layers of puff pastry, marsala wine custard and mixed berries, for a seasonal feel.
