Move aside street food, this Ealing joint is all about train food. Confused? Let us explain: Patri, which translates as ‘train track’, pays homage to India’s rail-side snacks, either those cooked on the platform and passed through windows to passengers, or dishes served on board.
Patri is the brainchild of restaurateur Puneet Wadhwani (who is also behind Chai Naasto in Hammersmith), and the menu features a run of casual small plates. Dishes to try include paneer marinated in spices and doused with mustard oil and chilli, or a very spicy chaat which is made with a namkeen mix, chopped tomato and green chilli.
