Passioni is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant in North London born out of a love for all things Italian, from its traditional cuisine to its stunning art and culture. As such, diners are invited to enjoy its authentic menus amongst stylish interiors that celebrate lauded Italian artists.
The restaurant is open all day, seven days a week, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the morning, you can dine like a true Italian with a pastry and a strong espresso. While a selection of hot options is also available such as scrambled eggs on toast, and porridge. Plenty of classic ciabattas and sandwiches are on offer to tie you over through lunch, while in the evening the restaurant really comes into its own with its pasta and gnocchi dishes.
A selection of reasonably-priced plates includes the likes of penne with smoked salmon, courgettes and cream, fresh gnocchi filled with gorgonzola cheese and served with cream and parmesan cheese, and fresh tortelloni stuffed with peas and shallots in a cream and mushroom sauce. Of course, all the classics are on offer too, from lasagne to bolognese to cacio e pepe.
To start, plenty of familiar options are ready and waiting, such as bruchetta, a tricolore salad and burrata Pugliese. People often visit for its generous sharing boards though, which the team recommend to ‘be accompanied with wine or Aperitif’. Choose between a meat or cheese board, which features a selection of Italian cheeses and cured meats with marinated vegetables, olive oil and bread.
A concise drinks selection focuses on the classics. On the cocktail front, you can expect Negronis, Aperol Spritz’ and Garibaldis. There are also Italian wines, bottled beers and soft drinks.
