Unwind with drinks in the inviting bar or embrace the outdoors in the charming beer garden. Whatever you fancy, you’ll have a great time at The Papermakers Arms.
The Papermakers Arms hosts regular events including live music and cocktail evenings, and are always producing new dishes with the help of the restaurant's head chefs who like to blend imagination with seasonal produce. Bread and drippings, olives and feta and crispy fried pickles with mustard mayo are served up for the table whilst guests decide on the great selection of starters and mains. For starters, there are the options of a delicious cream of celeriac and apple soup, wild mushroom and spinach risotto and Korean fried chicken with Asian slaw, sesame and micro coriander. Although there aren't a great deal of main options, what is on offer is impressive. A spring vegetable pappardelle with white wine and garlic sauce, chicken ballotine with duchess potato, brand and wild mushroom jus and a miso hake fillet with greens, garlic sauteed potatoes, pea puree and gremolata.
Handmade desserts are unmissable, and include a rhubarb crumble, lemon tart with yoghurt and berries, and sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and honeycomb ice cream. Equally, the drinks menu is as impressive as it is extensive, with plenty of options of delicious softs, perfectly pairing wines and sparkling options, and a hefty list of spirits and liqueurs.
