Billing itself as Sheffield’s ‘Ultimate Social Experience’, Panenka is a sports bar and grill that not only offers an unrivalled match day experience watching your favourite sports, but also premium gaming and Pan-Asian food.

Sports is the first order of the day here, with both of Panenka’s two floors equipped with 35 screens showing Sky Sports, ESPN, and various other channels broadcasting all the unmissable fixtures. You can also combine the joy of sport with the decadence of bottomless brunch, with Panenka’s Ballers Brunch, which offers unlimited prosecco, beer or cocktails alongside a dish of your choice - which can include Korean fried chicken, bao buns, or Thai red curry - all for only £38.

If you prefer to be participating in sport rather than watching it, you might like to try Panenka’s ‘gaming haven’ on its mezzanine floor, where you can showcase your competitive streak on a day out that’ll be a blast for all ages. A great variety of classic arcade games are on offer here - think pool, darts, and shuffleboard - but there’s also some exciting use of new technology. If you’re feeling adventurous, try your hand at augmented reality darts (the darts and board are ‘real’, but the experience is graphically enhanced and extra immersive thanks to AR) or book a virtual reality booth to go on an adventure with the whole family.

And that’s saying nothing of the food and drink offering. Beside Panenka’s gaming area lies the recently refurbished Sakura restaurant, which serves Asian fusion cuisine in elegant surrounds, for when you want a break from all the action. Choose from decadent delights like pan-fried seabass with scallops, beef fillet with king oyster mushroom and black pepper and truffle sauce, or Masala cod with saag aloo, onion bhaji, mango and mint puree - all these dishes also have a dedicated wine pairing on the menu, for when you want to really go all out.
