Tasty and authentic Chinese chow.
This modest looking restaurant boasts a wide ranging menu of Chinese specialties that are clearly aimed at a Chinese clientele or at the very adventurous Western diner. But the bill of fare also includes the tried-and-true Chinese standards for which most westerners look when going out for Chinese. My wife and I chose some of our favorite dishes: Won Ton Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, Kung Pao Chicken and Shredded Pork in Brown Sauce. All four we rated as best of their class.. Plenty of white-meat chicken in the very piquant Kung Pao. Fat well-filled won tons and bok choy swam in the clean-tasting broth. The Hot and Sour soup was up to my wife's best expectations. And we both agreed that the pork, served with six wrapping pancakes, was really something special. The service was business-like, but friendly. The waiter even took a bit of time to tell us how to wrap our pork, which instruction was not needed, but which was welcome just the same. If you are looking for good Chinese food served efficiently in a convivial workaday atmosphere at a reasonable price the Oriental Dragon is for you.
