Popular London chippy Sutton & Sons has partnered up with Sarson’s Vinegar to give away 100 free portions of fish and chips on Friday 25 October.
The chip shop, which has branches in Islington, Hackney and Stoke Newington, is a family-run operation and among the most popular chippies in the capital. Sutton & Sons will be giving away the free fish suppers to families in order to celebrate half term, with the limited-time offer available at all three locations.
If you’re planning on taking part in the time honoured tradition of Fish Friday, all you have to do is turn up with your children in tow at any of Sutton & Son’s three London locations and purchase a child’s portion of fish and chips. If you say the code words ‘Sarson's Secret’, at the till, you will be rewarded with a complimentary adult portion of fish and chips, while you will also get a free bottle of Sarson’s Vinegar to take home with you, so that you can lather you chips in as much vinegar as you’d like.
At Sutton & Sons, they keep things traditional. That means your complimentary battered fish could be cod, haddock or plaice, all of which are served alongside thick-cut golden and crispy chips.
The offer is redeemable on a first-come-first-served basis on Friday 25 October, with free fish and chips available to eat in store between midday and 6pm, and takeaways available from 6-10pm.
You’ll need to act fast though, as there are only limited quantities. Thirty adult portions of fish and chips will be given away at Sutton & Sons Islington and Hackney branches, while 40 free portions will be handed out at its Stoke Newington location.
