Legendary London department store Selfridges has welcomed a dedicated cookies and ice cream pop up to its Foodhall.
Simply called ‘Cookies & Ice Cream’, the temporary pop up is the brainchild of two popular London cookie experts, namely Blondies Kitchen and Snowflake Gelato. Snowflake will serve up the collaborative menu at its current location in Selfridges, with the pop up sticking around throughout the summer months, serving up a mix of ice cream sandwiches and soft serve.
On the menu at the Cookies & Ice Cream pop up, you can expect to find the likes of a Cereal Milk Cookie Sandwich, which consists of cereal milk gelato (topped with either Frosties or Coco Pops) sandwiched between two freshly-baked milk, dark, or white cookies. Elsewhere, sweet-toothed guests will be able to enjoy a Cookies & Cereal Milk Soft Serve, which is a waffle basket filled with your choice of cereal milk soft serve, and topped with freshly baked miniature cookies, cookie cereal and cookie dough.
Snowflake gelato is one of London’s most popular ice cream parlours, with a handful of branches in the capital, and some in Barcelona too. Snowflake is known for its Instagrammable and tasty offerings, and the ice cream shop hit the headlines in the summer of 2018, when it launched the ‘avolato’ – a vegan gelato that was made to look like two slices of avocado, and even featured an avocado ‘core’ made up of nut-butter ice cream.
Blondie’s Kitchen meanwhile has a flagship site in Soho, and has turned the ultimate childhood treat of milk and cookies into a successful business venture. Founded by friends and professionally trained chefs Kristelle and Chelsie, Blondie’s Kitchen sells cookies over the counter, and also has a mobile milk and cookie bar, which people can hire for events.
The Cookies & Ice Cream pop up can be found at the Snowflake Gelato counter in Selfridges Foodhall until 7 July 2019.
