This Friday (16 August), Pret a Manger is giving away free chocolate cookies to its customers in London and around the UK.
Lucky customers visiting the much-loved coffee shop will be able to get their hands on one of Pret’s popular dark chocolate and almond butter cookies, entirely free of charge.
In order to get your free cookie, you simply have to head to a participating Pret location and say the secret password, which was revealed on Pret’s social media channels this morning (it's 'bake my day' if you were wondering).
Pret’s dark chocolate and almond butter cookie was first introduced in the spring of 2018, and has become a hit with customers, becoming one of the brand’s best-selling sweets. The sweet treat is also vegan-friendly, combining dark chocolate with almond butter and a pinch of sea salt to make a rich, gooey cookie.
Cookie lovers will have to be quick, as Pret’s chocolate cookie giveaway is only taking place on Friday 15 August, from 3-4pm (or until stocks last).
Pret’s global head of food innovation Hannah Dolan said: “We know our dark chocolate and almond butter cookie is one of our customers’ favourites - we’ve had hundreds of messages from vegans and non-vegans alike, telling us how much they love it. Enjoy it on us this Friday afternoon. It’s delicious when paired with a cup of our organic coffee or English Breakfast Tea!”
This isn’t the first time Pret has treated its customers either, as the company has previously held ‘Freeze Friday’ giveaways, where its staff hand out iced coffees free of charge when temperatures soar in London.
