Whether or not you have dined there, we have all heard of Nobu. The international restaurant group is globally renowned and you’ve most likely seen pictures online of your favourite celebrities dining there (the Kardashians practically live at the Malibu outpost.) Rapper Drake has even shouted it out in his songs ‘Jumpman’ and ‘Gyalchester’.
Anyone who’s been dying to try Nobu now has the perfect opportunity, because chef-owner Nobu Matsuhisa (which is where the name comes from) is coming to London to host two exclusive dinners at the Berkeley Street and Shoreditch branches.

Matsuhisa will join forces with Mr. Fumio Hazu, who is the president and owner of Hokusetsu Sake, to wow diners with two specially crafted Oma-Sake tasting menus, paired with a selection of sakes from Hokusetsu.
The company has been making sake for more than 140 years and has exclusively supplied Nobu restaurants around the world for over three decades – so in short, they know their stuff. On the food side of things, the Oma-Sake menus will include an array of classic hot and cold Nobu dishes. You can expect to dine on the likes of yellowtail jalapeño with yuzu soy, spicy salmon tacos and lobster salad with yuzu truffle dressing and dry miso.

Lucky guests will also get a taste of Japanese culture, with traditional and contemporary live performances taking place throughout the dinner, while those who purchase the Cookbook Dining Package will also get to take home a signed copy of Nobu’s latest cookbook, World of Nobu.

The Oma-Sake dinners are priced at £175 per guest, which includes eight courses with six paired sakes. The Oma-Sake Cookbook Dining Package costs £225 per person and includes a signed copy of World of Nobu. To book your place, call 0207 683 6722 (Shoreditch) or 0207 290 9222 (Berkeley Street).
