In the spirit of festive giving – and just in time for the Christmas hangovers – McDonald’s have announced the launch of table service on their app which enables customers across the UK to remain in their seats whilst they place an order.
Gone is the hassle of queuing, trying to eye up a table whilst you battle to the front only to make a panicked decision when you reach the counter. Diners at the popular fast-food chain can now take their time perusing the menu, placing an order at their leisure and have it delivered directly to their table at just the tap of a finger.
But what if you can’t face tomato in your Big Mac or need double lashings of mayo in your Chicken Legend? No stress – the app also caters for any special requests so you’re order comes just the way you like it.
Ordering from the app couldn't be simpler
Speaking about the exciting new launch Ben Fox, marketing director announced: ‘The My McDonald’s App is an increasingly popular tool for hundreds of thousands of savvy customers, giving them more control over their McDonald’s experience.’
‘We recently added table numbers to every table in our restaurants, meaning you can find a seat, order through the app and have your favourite food delivered directly to your table, perfect for families especially at this busy time of year. Standing in queues is a thing of the past’
And yes – just like the Wetherspoons app, you can publicize your table number online in the hope that some kind friend (or stranger) takes pity on you eating your MaccyD's lunch alone and sends an extra portion of fries your way. Think of it as a virtual hug.
Fox continues: ‘With the ability to customise orders, remember favourites and find your nearest restaurant and with the occasional offer thrown in for good measure, the My McDonald’s App offers a range of perks with a just a touch of magic.’
