Foodie blog FoodSlut is joining forces with London restaurant Provisioners to bring a limited-edition dedicated menu to diners in Tower Bridge.
A little-known fact about comedian Jack Whitehall is that he runs a food blog alongside his television commitments, with his friend Marcus Petty-Saphon. The blog, called Food Slut, is an all-out homage to decadent dining where the duo put up recipes of over the top dishes they’ve made - like deep fried burrata and deep-fried buttermilk monkfish – so that others can join them in giving their favourite foods a go.
In the about section of the blog the pair describe their raison d'etre as being a ‘haven’ for likeminded cooks, saying: ‘In a world of fad diets, avocado on toast and juice cleansing we wanted to create a safe space for food sluts, a puff pastry topped haven that people could come to and delight in food that really doesn’t give a damn.’ If that sounds like your cup of tea, now, for the first time ever, you’re going to be able to try Jack and Marcus’ favourite serves at a London restaurant.
For the first time fans will be able to try favourites of the FoodSlut team in real life, without having to touch a kitchen implement themselves. The specially designed FoodSlut menu will be available every weekend between 25 September – 18 October and covers some pretty intense sounding combos. Dishes include a Slutty Burger (Double Patty smashed dry aged beef, Brown butter burger sauce, bacon jam, bread and butter pickles, crispy onions and shredded lettuce) and a Peanut Butter Cheesecake which comes covered in hot chocolate sauce with raspberry ripple ice cream.
Trendy all-day eatery Provisioners finds its home in Tower Bridge and generally deals in everything from hearty breakfasts and healthy lunches to seasonal sharing plates. The space appeals to the Instagram crowd with plenty of pink accent details, velvet furnishings and loads of botanical elements.
Bookings are now open for table reservations with the limited menu running between 25 September – 18 October.
