This hotel will arrange a doggy picnic for your canine pals

Dukes London hotel is bringing back its gourmet picnic hampers for the summer season, but this time, it’s serving up dog picnics too!

If you’re looking to pamper your pooch, then Dukes will add to your picnic experience by providing doggy treats (from a selection of wet or dry dog food), a dog bowl and a toy for them to play with. The doggy picnic is available as an additional add-on to Duke’s standard picnic hamper.

The team at the hotel will set up the perfect picnic spot for you in nearby Green Park or St James’s Park with comfy cushions, cosy blankets, cutlery and glasses. They will also supply parasols to keep you in the shade, just in case last year’s heatwave decides to come back for a second outing.

Inside your hamper, you’ll find a selection of treats, with options available for all types of diners. Meat eaters can tuck into the likes of a chorizo and goats cheese Scotch egg, while veggies can try the courgette and goats cheese brochettes. If you or someone in your party is vegan, they’ll be satisfied with vegan cheese scones, as well as vegan-friendly chocolate brownies.

To make the experience extra special for you and your four-legged friend, you can hire a butler service for an additional cost of £75. The butler will cater to your every whim for three hours, including the delivery, set-up and collection of the picnic in the park. And if you’re really looking to go all out, the hotel can arrange additional luxury touches such as flowers, chocolate truffles or a bottle of Champagne.

Well, this certainly brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “it’s a dog’s life.”

Dukes London’s classic British picnics and vegetarian picnics are priced from £39.50 per person, while the vegan picnics are priced from £35 per person. Doggy picnics cost £15 per pooch.

If you can’t get enough of dining out with your doggo, take a look at Gaucho’s new Doggy Sundays.
