Two wildly popular London restaurants, Pizza Pilgrims and Dishoom, have teamed up to create a limited-edition Bacon and Egg Naan Pizza.
It’s difficult to have a conversation about Dishoom without the restaurant’s signature bacon naan being brought up, so it’s no surprise that they’ve used the breakfast fixture as the inspiration for their pizza collaboration.
The Bacon and Egg Naan pizza will be available at select Pizza Pilgrims sites (including Covent Garden, City and London Bridge) from 21 October until 17 November and clocks in at £12 per pizza.
The pizza will feature a tomato sauce and cream cheese base which is topped with fior de latte mozzarella, fresh coriander, green chilli and a slick of chilli tomato jam. The two restaurants are taking sourcing seriously too, with eggs coming from Clarence Court and bacon from Ramsey of Carluke. Plus, you’ll even be able to wash down your pizza with Dishoom’s own-brand IPA, which will be available at the participating Pizza Pilgrims restaurants throughout the collaboration.
The best part about the collaboration is that it’s all in the name of charity – for every Bacon and Egg Naan pizza purchased, both Pizza Pilgrims and Dishoom will donate a meal to Magic Breakfast, which is a charity that provides breakfasts for children living in poverty.
The collaboration is the latest in a string of developments for Dishoom’s bacon naan, often thought of as among the best breakfasts in the capital. Earlier this year, the restaurant group – which now boasts seven locations including King’s Cross, Manchester, Edinburgh and Covent Garden – introduced the option to supersize your naan by adding two bacon rashers, while alternative fillings such as sausage, bacon and vegan sausage are also now available.
