This Tuesday 1 October, Costa is giving away free coffee all day long across London and the UK.
We all know that the work blues are real when 9am rolls around at the start of a working week, but Costa Coffee is hoping to perk up your morning with free coffee.
On Tuesday 1 October, Costa Express will be giving out coffees free of charge from more than 8,500 locations across the UK. Coffee lovers can walk away from any Costa Express machine with a free cuppa, able to choose from favourites such as an Americano, Latte, Espresso or Cappuccino.
There are other options on the machine’s menu too though, including hot chocolate, while regular cups of coffee can be topped up with delicious syrups and extra coffee shots so that you can personalise the drinks to your tastes.
The giveaway fun doesn’t necessarily have to stop at one cup of coffee though. That’s because anyone who is a member of Costa Coffee Club is encouraged to scan their app for the chance to win free Costa Coffee for an entire year.
It’s important to remember that this giveaway isn’t taking place at Costa Coffee stores, but instead across Costa Express locations. The Costa Express machines can be found across the country, often in petrol forecourts and convenience stores.
The idea behind the giveaway is to help dismantle the perception that self-serve drinks machines are of a lower quality than those served in store. Speaking about this, Costa’s managing director Scott Martin said: “The coffee industry is booming with no sign of our love affair with the drink slowing, as it’s estimated 95 million cups are consumed a day. However, for years, self-serve drinks machines have carried a certain stigma”
“We at Costa Express have worked tirelessly to revolutionise the self-serve experience. Our machines serve the same fresh signature Mocha Italia coffee beans and fresh semi-skimmed milk you would expect in our Costa Coffee stores, so the quality of your experience is never compromised.”
