Start your day with all the carbs and have a breakfast of champions.
What’s worse than being at work with a hangover? That’s right, it’s being at work hungover and starving, impatiently counting down the minutes until you can take your lunch break and get some hearty food in to you.
With party season set to kick off any day now, we’re expecting a fair few of these work day hangovers to be coming our way. Luckily, casual Italian restaurant group Coco di Mama is ready to give Londoners the perfect cure for sore heads – pasta for breakfast.
Available from now until 31 December, the Breakfast Carbonara is here to solve all of our head-pounding problems. A novel twist on the brunch staple of eggs Benedict, the Breakfast Carbonara sees mezzani pasta mixed with a creamy ham hock carbonara sauce, and topped with a runny poached egg. A sprinkling of crispy pancetta seals the carb-ilicious deal.
Served at all 22 Coco di Mama locations across the capital, the indulgent dish is also one hell of a bargain. The party-lover’s saviour costs just £4, which is probably around the same price you pay for your morning coffee from Starbucks. Speaking of coffee, Coco di Mama also do a rather nice cuppa, which should help wash down all of that creamy pasta-y goodness.
Carbs, protein and all-around comfort? We don’t need any more convincing. You’ll find us at Coco di Mama, chowing down on a cure-all carbonara. Sorry cereal, but our love affair is well and truly over.
