Maryland Cookies are looking for paid cookie tasters.
If you’re the kind of person that thinks a whole packet of biscuits is a portion size for one, and if you know your Digestives from your Hobnobs, Maryland cookies want to hear from you.
The cookie company is on the hunt for a cookie taster who will travel to their headquarters in Edinburgh and give them feedback on their flavours. The best part is that the chosen candidate will be rewarded for their efforts with a rather lovely pay packet of £350 – not bad for a day’s work.
All you’ll be required to do is the try company’s entire range of biscuits and let them know what you think. The company will even cover your travel expenses to their Scottish offices (within reason), while you’ll be tasting some new flavours that haven’t even been released to market yet.
If you’re still not willing to risk it for a chocolate biscuit, the chance to create a unique cookie of your dreams might sway you. Maryland will also allow their chosen candidate to think up their fantasy cookie creation, and help you bring it to life!
To be in with a chance of becoming a bonafide cookie taster, you’ll need to let Maryland know why you are the UK’s biggest cookie fan. That means telling them all about that time you travelled across the country just to savour the sweet taste of a cookie, or how you risked messing things up with the love of your life when you ate the cookie that they had been saving for themselves all day (and subsequently faced their wrath).
Speaking about the competition, Maryland’s Brand Manager Rachael Rayner said: “Consumer feedback is vital, so we are excited about inviting the successful candidate into our bakery to taste our range and create their very own cookie right before their eyes. It really is a cookie lover’s dream job!”
Applications close on 26 July, but you’ll be up against some fierce competition as Maryland has already received hundreds of entries. We guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles… You can apply here.
