Win the Classic II Grill from Kamado Joe UK - winner announced

We teamed up with the folk who have helped revolutionise the British barbecue scene. The hugely popular and successful Kamado Joe range is based on a classic style of ceramic lined oven that was first developed in Asia centuries ago – and had one of their top-of-the-range models to give away! The new-but-ancient inspired style ceramic grills are becoming increasingly popular – and anyone who cooks on one is soon converted to this epic type of BBQing. We gave away one of these iconic grill in our latest competiiton.

Our lucky winner was Dominic from Surrey - who is now the proud owner of his own Kamado Joe Classic II Grill.

About Kamado Joe UK

There’s a revolution going on in outdoor cooking, which might sound overstated when it comes to a type of barbecue - but you cannot exaggerate the change which the kamado has brought to cooking and eating al-fresco in the UK.

A kamado is a thick-walled cooker that imparts rich, smoky flavour to meat, fish and vegetables. The basic design has not changed much in centuries – air flows up through the grill’s ceramic body and out its vented dome. But it’s the ceramic lining which creates outstanding insulation and efficiency - and means the Kamado Joe has the ability to cook at very high and – conversely – very low temperatures. Which, in turn, makes it perfect for grilling, roasting, slow-cooking and smoking.

With a Kamado Joe there is no excuse to burn anything – let alone to have one side blackened and the other left raw, which has been the norm at so many British BBQs over the years. The Kamado Joe works best on their own developed top of the range charcoal.

Working with Argentinian charcoal masters, Kamado Joe has developed an exclusive blend of hardwoods. This dense wood is then painstakingly roasted in traditional outdoor ovens to create the finest, lump charcoal. All natural, the Big Block Charcoal burns longer, cleaner and better.
