Harrods has launched its new Dining Hall for London foodies.
Formerly known as the Meat & Fish Hall, the Dining Hall is a collection of dine-in restaurants which make use of produce sourced directly from Harrods’ Roastery & Bake Hall, and its Fresh Market Hall.
There are several dining options for shoppers and visitors to choose from, including The Fish Bar, which champions best-of-British fish and seafood. Signature dishes include fish & chips, ceviche, smoked salmon from the Faroe Islands and the catch of the day.
Elsewhere, The Grill showcases fine meats ranging from dry-aged beef and Wagyu, to rotisserie chicken and seasonal game. The menu is classic – think cooked-to-order T-bone, fillet and porterhouse steaks, served with decadent sides such as triple-cooked chips, creamy green vegetables and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese.
Those looking for their fix of carbs can visit The Pasta Bar, which serves a daily-changing selection of fresh handmade pasta, alongside staple dishes such as pappardelle al ragù and focaccia di recco.
Acclaimed Indian chef Vineet Bhatia has also taken up residence in the Dining Hall, with his 26-seat restaurant Kama by Vineet. The menu majors in modernised regional Indian classics, such as thali and a variety of curries. The Sushi Bar is another choice, turning out speciality nigiri with a selection of sauces including truffle yuzu and traditional soy.
Wine connoisseurs will also feel at home, thanks to The Wine Bar. Guests here can choose from a menu of over 100 by-the-glass wines, with the quality of bottles preserved via a Coravin system. You can also select any bottle from the Fine Wines & Spirits department to enjoy at The Wine Bar, while bar snacks see specially created dishes from Caviar House & Prunier.
Commenting on the launch, Harrods director of food Chris Dee said: “The Dining Hall is a true celebration of everything we have to offer in our Food Halls. Not only is the food impeccably sourced by our team of expert food buyers, the creation of the dishes – which are all made in-house – is a live showcase of the talent and passion we have for food.”
The Dining Hall is open from 11.30am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 11.30am to 6pm on Sunday. Customers are encouraged to book in advance online.
