Party-loving London restaurant Bunga Bunga Battersea is now serving ice cream infused with Grey Goose vodka.
The fun-loving Italian restaurant, known for its cheeky cocktails and raucous karaoke brunch, has given the classic childhood treat of ice cream a grown-up twist, by infusing it with Grey Goose La Vanille vodka.
Turning soft-serve into a ‘hard’ serve, the alcoholic treat will be available to diners throughout the summer and comes served in a wafer cone, just like you had when you were a kid. Bunga Bunga has also taken inspiration from childhood favourite Mr Whippy for the dessert's name, christening the vodka-infused treat as Signor Whippy.
The dining room at Bunga Bunga Battersea is full of quirks
Adding to the fun, guests can choose to personalise their boozy ice cream cones with a variety of tempting toppings. You will be able to dress up your ice cream with fun add-ons such as limoncello syrup and rainbow sprinkles, as well as plenty more.
Bunga Bunga, which also has a sibling site in Covent Garden, is no stranger to quirky food and drink. The restaurant takes its name from former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi’s infamous sex parties, and is full of silly, kitsch décor – think mopeds hanging from the ceiling and cocktails served in a vessel resembling the leaning tower of pisa.
Bunga Bunga’s food menu is just as fun, taking in a range of metre-long pizzas, as well as antipasti such as zucchini fritte and bruschetta topped with tomato, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil. Come dessert, it’s time to enjoy your boozed-up ice cream cone, perhaps alongside some post-prandial cocktails served in a jug made to look like Mario Balotelli’s head (yes, really).
