On the UK’s dining scene, avocados are ubiquitous. Whether you’re enjoying them on some toasted sourdough at brunch or mixing them with chocolate mousse for dessert, it’s hard to escape the onslaught of avocados on menus across the country.
This March, the avo craze will step up a gear, when the world’s first all-avocado concept pop ups in London for two weeks. The Avocado Show will set up camp at Chelsea’s Bluebird restaurant from 11-24 March, serving up avocado-based dishes to hungry Londoners.

During the residency, the cult King's Road café will be decked out with an abundance of foliage and greenery, while front-of-house staff will be kitted out in The Avocado Show branded t-shirts. On the menu, you can expect to find five of the restaurant’s stand-out dishes, all made using sustainably sourced avocados.

You can tuck in to the likes of The Bun Burger (a Wagyu beef patty sandwiched between two avocado halves and topped with bacon), or The Benny Boy, which sees poached eggs slathered with house-made hollandaise sauce and served atop crispy bacon slices and avocado halves. If you want to keep things light, you can opt for The Avo Garden, which is a colourful salad served on top of an avocado.

The Avocado Show launched in Amsterdam in 2017, causing a media storm. Since its launch, The Avocado Show has opened a second site in Amsterdam, as well as an outpost in Brussels. The brand has also published a cookbook and developed packaged avocado fries for retail consumption.
If you want to try out Amsterdam’s most famous avocados, head to Bluebird in Chelsea between 11 and 24 March.
