1,000 free doughnuts are being given away in Kensington

To celebrate National Doughnut Week, taking place from 11-18 May, Kensington residents and visitors will be able to get their hands on one of 1,000 free doughnuts.

On Monday 13 May, Whole Foods Market in Kensington will mark the week-long celebration of the doughy balls of deliciousness, by giving away 1,000 doughnuts to the public, completely free of charge.

Taking place from 3pm, anyone attending the giveaway will have their pick of two different flavour options, choosing between either chocolate stuffed or jam filled doughnuts to get their sugar fix.

The best part of the giveaway is that doughnut lovers can claim their free doughnut without having to make any purchase in store – just simply turn up, pick your flavour and grab a doughnut.

National Doughnut Week is an annual celebration of doughnuts in all their shapes and sizes, whether it be a traditional jam-filled, sugar-covered doughnut or a US-style ring-shaped doughnut.

Whole Foods Market Kensington can be found at 63-97 Kensington High Street, Kensington, W8 5SE. The doughnut giveaway will take place on Monday 13 May from 3pm, on a first-come-first-served basis.
