Nahmprik Thai Cuisine is a home of fine cooking in Altrincham. The words nahm prik mean condiments in Thai, which is the very essence of cooking – a combination of delicate balances. The team's passion is to create a wonderful setting for customers, and they are committed to serving excellent food and drink with friendly service. At Nahmprik Thai Cuisine, the chefs use only the finest and freshest ingredients so that you know you will leave the restaurant with a full belly and warm heart. There are baby changing facilities and wheelchair access at the restaurant, and loyalty cards for both lunch and dinner, so if you collect enough stamps, you'll soon be enjoying a free starter or main.
The menu begins with a selection of starters, including the krathong tong, a light crispy golden basket with savoury fillings of stir fried minced chicken in sweetcorn, garden peas, carrots and onions, and topped with cashew nuts. Other starters include the marinated spare ribs with garlic, pepper, ginger and soy sauce, and Thai fish cakes with a blend of red curry paste, green beans, lime leaves and served with cucumbers and a peanut sauce.
To cleanse your palette, why not try the hot and sour soup with mixed seafood, lemon grass, mushrooms, galanga and lime leaves, and then move onto your main. Try one of the Nahmprik specials, like the stir fried duck with tamarind sauce, cashew nuts, pineapple, red green pepper and dried chilli, or the king prawns topped with a red curry sauce made with coconut milk, peppers, kaffir limes and sweet basil.
Although you are likely going to feel full after a delicious meal here, if you can manage it, try the pineapple fritters with ice cream or chocolate spring rolls.
