Slow and unprofessional service

What a lovely pub to be in. Great atmosphere let down by a slow service. I dined there last night. I only ordered a chicken Caesar salad. I mentioned that an ingredient was missing when it arrived. I was told that the chef definitely put in what was missing. Thought the customers are always right?! I was not believed so I handed my salad back so that it could be investigated. Lol! By the time I had my salad back the rest of the table had finished diner and I was left to eat by myself. I was charged fully with a service charge on it too! I paid by I won't go back! Enjoy!

My Whitebait & Smoked haddock were very good. However, My wife's prawn cocktail was a disappointment being tasteless with no sauce. The roast beef dinner for my wife and daughter wa very poor. The beef was obviously not carved from a joint on the premises and not at all tender.

Birthday Dinner

This was a birthday meal for my elderly mother. Our food was OK, Beefeater-type standard. My mothers' sirloin steak, however was as tough as old boots, & was sent back 3 times. At no time did the waitress, or chef ask what the problem was, or show any concern. If it was my cooking called to question I'd be mortified and want to know exactly what the problem was. We shan't be returning
