Master Bao is known for serving some of the best, fluffy bao buns in the capital. The food here is cooked fresh, so you can be sure you'll always be served a super tasty meal. Even the juice and lemonade here is made fresh, but of course, they have the stronger stuff too. The menus here are designed to celebrate the very best flavours of Taiwanese street food but combining an easy, fast service with undeniably incredible flavours, techniques and love.
All baos are priced the same, so it's an easy process when it comes to ordering. The hot chicken bao is made with crispy chicken, Szechuan maple butter, smacked cucumber and onion relish, whilst Mr Bao comes filled with slow braised pork, house pickled, roasted peanut and coriander. If you're a fan of seafood, try the marinated king prawns with pickled mooli and spiced spring onions.
You can opt for a meal deal which is a side and two baos for a great price. The baos remain the same, and when it comes to sides you can choose from vegetarian dumplings with house made crispy chilli oil, tenderstem broccoli with ponzu dipping sauce and fried chicken with smoky miso mayo. There are rice and noodle dishes to choose from, too, including the chicken udon noodles in a house sauce, and beef fried rice with egg and fresh vegetables. If you want something hearty and warming, try the Taiwanese beef noodle soup with tender beef shin, slightly spicy broth, thick noodles, pak choi and pickled mustard greens.
There are a few cocktails on the menu, too, including the Hibiscus Sake made with sake, plum and hibiscus, and then there's a delicious brown sugar milk tea made with tapioca pearls.
