Market Place

I made a booking online for 5 people to have drinks and dinner at this restaurant/bar last Friday. When we arrived we were shown to a table of 2 and advised that this is where we had to sit. I thought they were joking for a minute and was completely shocked and appauled when I realised they weren't. The lady I spoke to said she was the manager. She was arrogant and cocky so if this restaurant fails then I for one certainly won't be surprised. We obviously ended up leaving as we were so disgusted with the service and attitude. So if anyone out there is thinking of going there, please don't!!! You are wasting your time and money and it will ruin your night!!

If you really want to be abused and rub shoulders with London's top 100 young offenders then this is your place! On the outside it seems to be a nice lively place to have a drink with friends until one wannabe hip hop star decides he has something to prove and starts terrorising the only decent people inside. While my partner was sitting at the table enjoying a glass of wine one of these yobs violently smashed a pint glass on the table and threatened to kill her!! Why? We still wish we knew! No thanks to the so called security and management as they even refused to call the police and managed to let these people leave calmly while stopping us from calling the police ourselves. It seemed as if they knew these people and wanted to protect them and seems to be an underground place for these kinds to hang out… One quote from the manager was “don't worry this happens all the time, thankfully no-one got hurt this time ” We will definitely wont be back and advise people not to unless this is your kind of establishment.

After waiting over an hour for our lunch we were expecting a significant discount when it came time to pay the bill. We had asked several times when the food would be ready but despite assurances from our waitress it still did not come until after an hour of waiting. When the food finally arrived, they had not remembered a dietary requirement of one of our diners, so she had to wait even longer. The waitress was fully aware of our situation and initially offered to not charge for drinks but when it came time to pay she withdrew the offer! Unacceptable service – this place should be avoided at all costs.

If you are in the area and need a quick drink this place will do, but only if you can't be bothered to walk a few more minutes to a decent pub. It is very average. There's nothing particularly wrong with, but nothing particularly good about it either. Five minutes further north are several nice little pubs with better atmosphere and drinks.
