Tucked away in the heart of Soho, Ponti's is an Italian restaurant, offering traditional dishes made with authentic ingredients. The story of Ponti's can be traced back over 60 years, in the beautiful rolling hills of Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy, where the restaurant's founder, Pino, grew up and developed a love for authentic Italian food. Pino, with the help of an investor, opened his first cafe in Victoria back in the 1960s, at just 19 years old, and there, the Ponti's name was born. The brand quickly became synonymous with great Italian food, and has remained authentic with genuine Italian dishes that are served the traditional way.
Extensive menus offer all of your favourite Italian delights. Stuzzichini includes baskets of house baked breads, breadsticks, Sardinian flat bread, olive and balsamic oils and drizzles. The antipasti dishes range from the classic polpette piccanti beef meatballs with burrata cream and roasted polenta, to avocado with prawns and the chef's special soup of the day. Add some flavour to your day with the truffle arancini with extra truffle sauce and fresh truffle shavings, or keep it simple with the traditional selection of Italian cured meats and cheeses.
It wouldn't be Italian without an impressive selection of pasta and risotto, and Ponti's has plenty to choose from. The gnocchi al pesto e pinoli is made with pesto, pine nuts and burrata cream, then there's a traditional lasagna bolognese with the family recipe, spaghetti carbonara, fettuccine al salmone and wild mushroom risotto. If you're a pizza lover then don't skip the o'sole mio with fior di latte mozzarella, San Marzano tomato, roasted mixed vegetables, egg and oregano. Other main courses include the half spatchcock chicken with chimichurri, grilled Cornish lamb chops with jus and chives, pollo milanese, pan roasted salmon and slow cooked beef short ribs with a reduced amarone wine sauce.
