About
The Brixton branch of this trio of south London pizzerias has the same look and feel as its siblings, with honey-coloured brick walls, warmly lit filament bulbs, rough wood tables and a domed, wood-fired oven working overtime in the open kitchen. The six regular sourdough pizzas chalked up on the blackboard also take their lead from the Honor Oak original, with high-quality toppings that range from feta with pine nuts and locally grown butternut squash, to buffalo mozzarella with ‘nduja and extra chilli (they don’t call it ‘The Devil’ for nothing). Daily specials here include Mamma Dough’s take on a fiorentina, signed off with parmesan, olives and garlic oil. There are half-sized pizzas for kids, gluten-free pizza bases, and four exquisite homemade desserts - no wonder this joint is so lively. To drink, try a locally brewed craft ale or the homemade ginger ale.
