Famous for its sea salt, Maldon is a town on the Blackwater estuary in Essex. Aside from its famous salt, the Maldon Mud Race runs in May, and other quaint charms make up the history of this Essex town. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in Maldon, with the town itself especially famous for the Hythe Quay, home of the sailing barge, Maldon's living heritage. You'll find plenty to do if you're visiting Maldon, from a walk through Promenade Park to a day trip to the Combined Military Services Museum, or the Museum of Power.
