Little Italy is an authentic Italian restaurant located in the heart of Timperley Village in Manchester. Little Italy is open daily for relaxed family dining, serving a menu of homemade dishes, specials and Italian desserts.
The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 4pm. The restaurant is dotted with wooden tables sitting on tile flooring, there is a specials chalkboard on the wall and soft lighting.
The menu is varied and subject to change however you will find plenty of authentic Italian dishes to choose from including a good selection of antipasti dishes such as oven baked mozzarella stuffed mushrooms, chicken liver pate served with homemade bread, and pork ribs served in a barbeque sauce. Main courses include a wide selection of pasta, pizza and risotto dishes including classics such as lasagne, risotto di mare, and spaghetti alla carbonara. You will also find simpler favourites on the menu such as spaghetti bolognese and margherita pizza, ideal for children and young families.
There is a large dessert menu which includes both cold and hot dishes such as tiramisu, Bailey’s cheesecake and crème brule. Hot desserts include chocolate fudge cake served with ice cream, homemade crumble, and a selection of traditional Italian patisserie which changes on a daily basis.
You will also find specials on the chalkboard.
Those with younger guests may find the early bird menu a good option, this is available from Tuesday to Saturday until 6.30pm. This is a smaller 3-course menu with a set price, which includes dishes such as bruschetta pomodoro, ravioli, pepperoni pizza and plenty of popular puddings such as apple crumble, ice cream and homemade pancakes served with orange sauce and vanilla ice cream.
You will find a good selection of European wines and beers, plus soft drinks, fresh tea and coffee.
