In a novel alliance reminiscent of a rock supergroup, stellar chefs Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White have entered into partnership to launch this classy hotel brasserie in Bath. Koffmann & Mr White’s offers a menu that encompasses Gascon and British classics, but despite its august collaborators – both of whom have been awarded three Michelin stars – the aim here is to produce reasonably priced dishes in a relaxed, informal setting. The two chefs first worked together when Koffmann employed Pierre White at his legendary Chelsea establishment La Tante Claire in 1984. Marco went on to open Harvey’s in 1988, winning two Michelin stars, before gaining his third star at The Restaurant Marco Pierre White. White comments ‘…one of my deepest regrets was not spending more time with Pierre in the kitchen. I am looking forward to being the apprentice once again.’ Their new project will undoubtedly cause a splash in Bath.
