Located inside the InterContinental London The O2, Kinaara offers an Indian fine dining menu for guests. The award-winning restaurant is led by Head Chef Imammudin Khan who has a wealth of experience working in prestigious restaurants across India and the UK, most notably the Cinaamon Club in London and the Radisson in New Delhi. Through his direction, Kinaara has been awarded 2 AA rosettes and takes inspiration from traditional flavours across India. Food is served in a contemporary environment, with the dining room benefitting from stunning views of the river Thames. The restaurant's name actually means river bank in Hindi, nodding to its unique location.
There are two main menus on offer; an a la carte and a tasting menu. While the selection changes seasonally, an example of what you might expect includes small plates of Keralan crispy duck with curry leaves, tamarind, cashew crumble and black mooli, as well as grilled stone bass in a marinade of sundried tomatoes and nigella seeds. Current mains include chicken makhani with dried fenugreek tomato sauce or Hyderabadi salan with baby aubergine, padron chilli, sesame tamarind sauce and jaggery peanut crust. There's also a huge host of sides to ensure you don't go hungry, with tandori roti, truffle and cheese naan and saffron rice all on offer.
If a special occasion calls, consider the seven-course tasting menu which cherry picks some of the chef's favourite dishes from the menu. We particularly like the sound of the tandoori Indian ocean king prawns, chargrilled rack of spring lamb and chocolate pepper nemesis.
Kinaara is also proud of its eclectic cocktail menu with delicious concoctions such as a twist on an Old Fashioned with Indian prestigious whisky ‘Amrut’, sweet vermouth with a twist of Campari and orange peel, or the Old Monk with Indian Renowned Dark Rum ‘Old Monk’ and a hint of caramel and banana.
